Reliance Jio Signs A Deal With Gte Infrastructure To Launch 4g In India By March 2015

With an aim to expedite the full roll-out of 4G by March 2015, Reliance Jio Infocomm has signed a tower-sharing deal with GTL Infrastructure. This deal will also help control costs at this stage of service deployment.

Sanjay Mashruwala, Managing Director of Reliance Jio Infocomm said, Our mission is to launch pan-India next-generation voice and data services. We will build the same through a judicious combination of own build and rented infrastructure.” Further, he addedthat the GTL deal is “not only a step in that direction but will also help us accelerate our roll out.”

Reliance Jio has been actively entering into a number of infrastructure-sharing agreements with telecommunication companies that have existing passive infrastructure in place. In addition to quickening the pace of its launch, avoiding duplication of infrastructure, and lowering capital costs, this move can also help limit environmental damage since telecommunication towers tend to be heavy consumers of diesel.

Reliance Jios Roll-out Plans

The company intends to lease about 70,000 towers and install approximately 30,000 of its own. Since it aims to launch 4G data and voice services in the coming year, these figures also include smaller cell sites on single poles. According to the agreement with GTL Infrastructure, Reliance Jio will use about 30,000 of their telecom towers spread all over the country.

Last year, the company had announced an infrastructure-sharing deal with Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications (RCOM). The deal proposed to use some or all of the 48,000 towers that are held by RCOMs Reliance Infratelunit. Another tower-sharing agreement was also signed with Bharti Infratel along with an infrastructure deal with Bharti Group that allows Reliane Jio to use Airtels subsea cable network.

Picking up Pace

A spokesperson from the Switzerland-based multinational financial services company,Credit Suisse, said that Reliance Jio is very much on track with its plans to launch 4G services by March 2015. It has completed installation of about 32,000 Long Term Evolution (LTE) base stations across the country. Furthermore, the pace at which the installations take place has picked up to about 6,500 per month as compared to the rate of about 3,000 per month in May 2014.

Furthermore, the spokesperson said that that developments in the global LTE handset ecosystem is pushing down price-points at a fast pace. This means that sub-$100 LTE smart phones could soon become a reality. This shift in the market could be rather disruptive in India, where the top 30% of customers accounts for 70% of the revenues in the telecommunications sector.

Reliance Jios Airwaves License Agreements

Reliance Jioowns pan-India airwaves in the 2300MHz band since May 2010 and must deploy its 4G services by May 2015 to comply with its license agreement. It has also won the 1800MHz band airwaves at an auction in February this year. It is believed that this will be used to launch 4G data services and 2G voice services.

The spokesperson adds that Reliance Jio has also awarded a second LTE base station contract to Samsung for 50,000 to 70,000 units. This could result in the network size of the telecommunications company crossing 100,000 base stations.

Faster Network Inventory with NEWT Professional

IT professionals have always needed to cope with the growing difficulty that accompany monitoring an growing quantity of personal computers like a business develops. This kind of require is generally known to as Network Inventory or PC auditing. Sometime ago, if a person needed hardware and software inventory across a network, it meant physically going to each computer on that network and recording my way through a spreadsheet manually. Fortunately, through the years, software and OS’s have greatly enhanced, making Network Inventory simpler. NEWT Professional is a software product produced to lessen the work involved with Asset Management. Developed since 2003, NEWT has developed right into a high-speed PC Inventory tool, able to scan hundreds of computer systems in minutes, saving money and time for organizations of all dimensions.

In the world of Network Management, you’ll find several techniques used to Network Inventory computers. Two primary divisions are tools designed to use an agent and ones which are agent-less. Many agent-less tools could be extremely slow and/or have many difficulties with computer and security configuration, for example WMI (Windows Management Interface), thus they still require going to individual computer systems to “fix” issues before they could be audited. This is very frustrating to Network Inventory advisors. Utilizing an agent can circumvent these issues but frequently requires days or hours of extensive deployment.

The coders at Komodo Labs devoted well over 180 days developing a strategy to alleviate these Network Administration problems, leading to their latest version, 2.5. NEWT Professional now only requires read/write access to the ADMIN$ (pronounced “admin dollar” or administrator share), which is available by default to administrators in Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. This enables Network Inventory to get the same information in only minutes that before required hundreds of hours. Not just have scan speeds improved, but network bandwidth was greatly reduced, making it possible to accomplish Network Inventory over slow connections, for example WANs (Wide Area Systems) with little effect on network traffic.

NEWT Professional is helpful for nearly any network in which a total Network Inventory is required, and several MSP (Managed Service Providers) and Network Inventory technicians use NEWT Professional to quickly detect configuration information for his or her clients. It picks up all of the normal Hardware and Software Inventory information, including CPU info, system serial numbers, OS Product Keys, etc., but additionally goes one step further, gathering CPU temperature, system and hard disk temperature, USB type (1.x, 2.0 or 3.0), correct hard disk type (IDE versus. SATA) & serial number, monitor type (LCD/CRT), detailed RAM Slot info and many more.

After carrying out a Network Audit, data will come in a simple-to-read spreadsheet-like view, with options including saving to NEWT’s own format, exporting to Excel, HTML, text or perhaps a fully relational MS Access (MDB) database.

In terms of blazingly fast network inventory, NEWT Professional meets the requirements of network professionals everywhere, all without emptying your wallet.

The Basic Knowledge Note Of Control Cable

Control cable is insulated from each other by the one or more root conductor insulation and protection layer made of outsourcing, will power or transmit information from one place to another wire. Can also say that control cable is the medium of metal for signal transmission devices. Usually by crossing a control cable or at least two groups of wires in each strand rope made of a similar control cable between each wire insulation, and often twisted around a center into the entire outside package with a high degree of insulation cover.

Wire and control cable is used for electric power, telecommunications and related materials transport purposes. “Wire” and “cable” and not strictly limits the cable. Usually small number of core products in diameter, simple structure of the product known as the wire, not insulated as bare wires, the other called the cable; conductor cross-sectional area larger (more than 6 mm2) as a large wire, small (less than or equal to 6 mm2) as a small wire, insulated wire, also known as wire cloth.

Control cable is mainly used for transmission control, such as measuring signal control cable. Apply to industrial and mining enterprises, energy and transportation sector, for 450/750 V AC rated voltage under control, the protection line and so the use of PVC insulated, PVC sheathed control cable. Flame-retardant control cable description: flame retardant control cable is suitable for industrial and mining enterprises, energy and transportation sector, for rated voltage of 450/750 volts AC under control, and protection lines near such occasions to use the PVC insulation, PVC jacket control cable.

Here are notes about control cable. Power cables and control cable should not be configured on the same level bracket. High and low voltage cables, strong, weak control cable should be ordered layered configuration, in general, should top-down, but more than 35kv high voltage cable with the introduction of counter plate, in order to meet the bend radius, can be configured below. The cable trench method of laying cables and buried cable installation method is similar to, and can be placed on the pulley groove, cast completed, the cable put in the ditch, or bracket, and cable lashing cable plate. Cable fixed on cable channel and the tunnel wall, the level of equipment, when the cable diameter should be equal to or less than 50mm every 1m-plus-one support; diameter greater than 50mm of the cable at intervals of 0.6m-plus-one support; arranged triangular single cable, at intervals of 1m fasten bandage application, the vertical device, at intervals of 1 ~ 1.5m to be fixed.

Power cables and control cable should not generally be laid in the same bracket, the less and when the cable, control cable and power cable will be laid within the same bracket, the application of separate partitions. Tunnel and trench length shall be fitted with a continuous earth wire, grounding wire should be connected with all the support, two and grounding connectivity. Grounding line must also comply with design requirements. Lead sheathed cable package and in addition to insulation requirements, should be fully connected and and ground wire connected to the cable rack and ground should be painted or galvanized anti-rust paint.

Cable laying equipment, which commonly used? Air compressor is mainly used to destroy the road, the laying of cables in preparation for the future; electrical hoist, or cable pulling machine is mainly used to drag the cable;control cable conveyor, with a huge tractor used to overcome friction, reduce damage to the cable ; cable set-off bracket; wheel device; anti-twist, cut rope appear distorted; cable disc brakes; tension meter.

Wire and control cable is used for electric power, telecommunications and related materials transport purposes. “Wire” and “cable” is not strict boundaries.

Include bare wire and cable, magnet wire and electrical insulating electrical wires, power cables, communication cables and optical cables.

Several control cable can be introduced metal materials. Copper: conductivity second only to silver, thermal conductivity second only to gold and silver; anti-corrosion, non-magnetic, plastic good, easy welding, widely used. Copper alloy of copper is mainly to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical and physical properties. Silver: metal conductivity and thermal conductivity maximum, with good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, easy-to-weld; mainly used for coating and the cladding layer; mainly used for high temperature wire and (Note: According to the theory of skin effect) with do high-frequency communications cable conductor. Aluminum: conductivity second only to silver, copper, gold; thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, mechanical strength general, plastic is good, a small proportion. Drawback is the low tensile strength, not easy to weld. Aluminum alloy is mainly to improve the mechanical strength, heat resistance and solderability. Gold, nickel: used as high temperature wire. Iron (steel): Often the strengthening of composite conductor materials such as aluminum over steel core wire, copper clad steel, aluminum clad steel wire. Zinc: used steel / steel / iron conductor coating to prevent corrosion with. Tin: used wire / copper coating, using to prevent corrosion, and facilitate the copper wire.

Telecommunications The Early Years

Throughout time the main forms of communication required that one person be within visual sight of the other in order to be able to successfully communicate. Either that or be within visual or audible range of the means of communication, as in semaphore (physically signalling between ships), or smoke, or drum signals. Then during the 1830s and 1840s telecommunications was born in the form of the telegraph.

The definition of telecommunication, is the means of communicating over great distances, which means that semaphore, drum and smoke signals do not come under the heading of telecommunication, but Telegraphy, telephony and electronic mail do come under the telecommunications heading.

Telegraphy and telephony requires the use of metal wires in order to transmit messages between sender and recipient. During the 19th century, thanks to the invention of the telegraph, these metal cables were laid along the ocean beds, connecting the continents of the world and thus allowing international telecommunications (first one completed on the 27th of July, 1876 linking the USA with Great Britain).

Wireless telecommunications – The 20th century brought the advent of long distance communication without the need for physical connectivity. The first versions were created by Guglielmo Marconi, and manifested themselves in the form of the wireless radio, for which Marconi won a Nobel prize. This was achieved back in 1909.

Other intrepid contributors – Besides Marconi, there were a number of others making headway in the field of wireless communications, they include, Alexander Graham Bell, Samuel Morse, Lee de Forest, Joseph Henry, Nikola Tesla, Edwin Armstrong, and John Logie Baird.

Earliest form of telecommunications – A Frenchman by the name of Claude Chappe back in 1792, came up with a communication system that allowed rapid (rapid for the time) transmission of a message by setting up a series of towers that were about 6 miles apart. From these towers operators could receive messages from one tower then transmit those messages to the next tower. The transmission of messages was done by semaphore. Semaphore is achieved by the use of moving arms that dependent on the position of the arms would have different meanings. Chappe’s communication system lasted up until 1880, when it was forced out of existence by the far superior telegraph system.

The telegraph – In 1839 one Sir William Fothergil Cooke and one Sir Charles Wheatstone built the first commercial electrical wire based telegraph system. This was actually an improvement on the existing electromagnetic telegraph system.

Morse steps on to the scene – Not only were communication system to use Samuel Morse’s means of coding messages, but Morse himself, in 1837, created a much simpler telegraph system to that already in existence, that which was created by Wheatstone and Cooke (see above).

International telephone link took a long time coming – Although there was a cable connection Great Britain with the United States of America laid back in middle part of the 19th century, it was not good enough to be used for transmitting telephone signals. It had been originally set-up for communications via telegraphy between the then President of the USA, James Buchanan, and Great Britain’s Queen Victoria. The original cable failed fairly quickly and had to be replaced, but was of no use for the telephone system. It was not until 1956 before telephone telecommunications was successfully set-up between the USA and Britain.
